Stay motivated on your job search experience with these three simple tips
Searching for a job can be exciting – the prospect of a new opportunity and new a beginning! But it can also be exhausting. For some, it can even feel like a full-time job!
I’ve compiled some tips on how to stay motivated and on course during your job hunt.
Mix it up
It can get repetitive submitting resume after resume and not getting a response. Not to mention, it can seem like you’re not getting anywhere which in turn can result in your motivation levels pummelling.
So why not try mixing things up during your job search by attending networking events and/or spending time each day networking through online social networking platforms such as LinkedIn or Facebook.
Know what you’re looking for
As a job seeker, it’s impossible to be a jack of all trades. The last thing you want is to be seen by recruiters applying for several different roles.
Remain targeted in your approach to ensure you focus your energy on being productive.
Have a break (and a KitKat if you feel like it)
It’s easy to lose hope when you’re going for interviews, you come close and then you just miss out on the position.
Sometimes it’s good to take a break from the job search game to gain some perspective, shift your mindset and re-fuel your motivation.
