Psychologist – Child Development & Early Intervention– Accommodation provided

Are you a dedicated Psychologist with experience in Child Development and Early Intervention Parenting Support? We have an exciting six-month contract opportunity with the a Hospital and Health Service, based at Roma Hospital, with the possibility of extension.

About the Role:

We are accepting applications from HP3 and HP4 level clinicians to deliver high-level psychology services across multiple sites. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in optimizing psycho-social outcomes for children, families, and carers.

  • Location: Roma Hospital, QLD
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract: 6 months (potential for extension)
  • Travel Support: $200 each way
  • Accommodation Provided
  • Monday to Friday roster

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team across the Roma facility and outreach sites.
  • Delivering comprehensive psychological assessments, treatment, and case management for children and young people.
  • Offering early intervention parenting support, particularly for children aged 0-8 years, including conducting detailed family assessments and interventions for clients with complex needs.
  • Coordinate care plans for at-risk clients, following Child Health service delivery models to support complex cases effectively.
  • Provide supervision, training, and professional development to staff, as well as oversee student placements as per agreements with the Service Director.
  • This position will be required to travel and work across South West Hospital and Health Services facilities.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Fully registered Psychologist with AHPRA.
  • Experience in Child Development and Early Intervention Parenting Support.
  • Strong ability to work autonomously and within a team.
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for children and families.
