ACM Healthcare is working on behalf of a Luxury private rehab facility based in Samford Valley QLD. We are looking for an experienced Nurse Lead to work across a varied case load as a permanent clinician. The purpose of the Nurse Lead is to lead the daily operations of the nursing team on site, and work with other patient support staff, in providing a high quality of healthcare outcomes in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The Nursing Lead will work as an effective member of the clinical team, with the primary responsibility of assessing medical needs in patients and administering suitable programs of treatment.

 

Job Description:

  • Provide effective leadership and support to nursing and coach care staff team members.
  • Ensure the provision of advanced care to patients as directed by the medical practitioner.
  • Initiate and implement quality nursing care support informed by best practice.
  • Plan, coordinate and problem-solve the clinical management of patients in the residence.
  • Act as a clinical resource within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Oversee the safe administration of medication for patients and ensures relevant legislative standards are met around medication handling
  • Maintain close working relationships with doctors, allied health team, facility manager and other health organisations in delivery of healthcare to patients.
  • Monitor guest physical, emotional and spiritual well-being, recording concerns in the case notes and reporting these concerns to the relevant clinicians
  • Manage policy and procedure development, staff recruitment, rostering, and staff performance management.
  • Promote a work environment conducive to harmonious work relationships and high staff morale.

 

Essential criteria:

  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and experience as a leader of nursing teams
  • 10 years + experience in nursing – Mental health experience and an understanding of addiction treatments desirable       
  • A valid driver licence (C class - car) must be held at all times during employment
