System Analyst / Senior System Analyst / Solution Design
- APS Equivalent Level: APS5, APS6, EL1
- Estimated Start Date: 1st of November 2024
- Initial Contract Duration: 12 Months up to 12 months per extension, with a maximum of 2
- Location of Work: ACT, QLD, SA
- Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline clearance
Role Overview:
Systems Analysts will be responsible for designing, creating, and evaluating ICT solutions for both new and existing systems. They will be tasked with gathering requirements, collaborating with business users, and translating these into system requirements. Senior Systems Analysts and Solution Design Managers will take on leadership roles, overseeing project implementation and ensuring that ICT solutions align with business needs and strategic direction.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Systems Analyst – ICT APS5:
- Perform analysis and evaluation of business processes and requirements.
- Support the creation and implementation of solutions to meet business needs.
- Provide support to daily operations, monitoring the performance of business solutions.
- Conduct testing activities such as test planning and execution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure the effective implementation of projects.
- Prepare technical documentation and escalate issues when needed.
Senior Systems Analyst – ICT APS6:
- Perform detailed analysis and evaluation of business processes and requirements.
- Create and implement ICT system designs and maintain solution documents.
- Conduct testing activities and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver timely project outcomes.
- Mentor and guide junior staff members, ensuring adherence to best practices.
Solution Design Manager – ICT EL1:
- Lead the planning and implementation of ICT solutions to meet business goals.
- Manage team performance, set priorities, and monitor workflow.
- Oversee the development of ICT solutions, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
- Engage stakeholders and manage relationships with internal and external parties.
- Contribute to business management, strategic planning, and workforce planning.
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
