NDIS Clinical Lead – Canberra Hospital

 

  • Long term contract with a view to extend/Permanency
  • Health Professional Level 4/ Senior Officer Grade C
  • Salary range: $121,389 - $134,894 (Plus 11.5% Super)

 

 
ACM Healthcare is working on behalf of a government department to source an experience, dedicated and qualified NDIS Lead to join the team in a tertiary hospital setting. This is a Birth leave vacant position of initially 14 months with a view to extend or lead to permanency depending on operational requirements.  

Note: This position(s) will be required to participate in overtime, on call, and/or rotation roster, including weekends and shutdown.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The NDIS Clinical Lead, provides clinical leadership and specialist psychosocial interventions for clients presenting with multi-faceted and complex high care needs, requiring NDIS services.
  • This position provides support and specialist clinical advice, facilitates problem solving, education and intervention around the intersection of the NDIS with hospital and patients.
  • Actively participate in supervision, provide clinical supervision and specialist training to staff and students as required, continue professional development and participate in performance management
  • Liaise with the patient, carers, multi-disciplinary team members and key government and non-government agencies; to enhance and establish effective and collaborative partnerships to ensure positive client outcomes.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in a health professional discipline
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation/similar
  • Experience in disability and/or health setting
  • Proven knowledge of the NDIS and how it intersects with hospitals for those requiring highly complex care and therapy.
