Data Architect

• Initial Contract Duration: 12 Months
• Extension Term: 12 months (1 extension)
• Location: Canberra (minimum 3 days in office weekly)
• Security Clearance: Negative Vetting Level 1

Role Overview:
The Data Architect will provide expert advice and leadership in establishing data architecture, including data lakes, warehouses, and related infrastructures. The role involves extensive collaboration with senior stakeholders and designing business intelligence strategies.

Primary Technologies:

• Cloudera, Teradata, Apache, SAS, Mainframe, Qlik, SAP (HANA), DB2, Tableau, Power BI, Informatica.

Key Duties:

• Leading the development of data governance processes.
• Advising on data warehousing methods and best practices.
• Designing big data platforms and ensuring high availability and disaster recovery solutions.

Mandatory Criteria:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a data warehousing environment.
• A degree in IT or data science (highly desirable).
• Knowledge of Australian Government Data policies is beneficial.
