HP4 Senior Hospital Psychologist |Mount Isa | 12 month contract

 

    • Salary range of $4769.60 to $5132.40 per fortnight (full-time)

ACM Healthcare are seeking a Senior Psychologist to deliver high quality, evidence-based Psychology services in child development, inpatients including rehabilitation and subacute medical wards, outpatient clinics and via telehealth as part of a rural generalist interprofessional team. You will deliver direct clinical services providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients referred to the Psychology department. As a senior member of the Allied Health team, you will contribute to the advancement of quality Psychology services and optimal patient care through service development, quality improvement and evaluation, and clinical education, and work closely with our First Nations population.

 

About the Role:

    • Deliver clinical psychology services (including clinical, health and psychometric assessments, and interventions) within a multidisciplinary team in accordance with prescribed ethical and professional standards, whilst being responsive to the needs of families, significant others and the wider community.
    • Apply professional judgement to a varied caseload, through routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence and ensuring effective and efficient services.
    • To always consider the rights of the patients and other healthcare consumers.
    • Maintain appropriate documentation and patient records in line with Departmental, Unit and Health Service procedures and contribute to the maintenance of accurate and timely information systems (such as statistics collection, and quality data).
    • To work flexibly across all caseloads as required.
    • Provide clinical practice supervision and education commensurate with the level of experience for students and less experienced staff to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards.

    • Salary range of $4769.60 to $5132.40 p.f. (HP4)
    • 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading

Criteria:

    • Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)   
    • Endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia in a relevant area of practice (Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology) will be favourably considered. A Registrar in any pathway will be considered for this position.

 

Applicants must also possess, or be willing to obtain, the following checks prior to employment: 

    • Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful candidate, including criminal history checks.
    • VPD risk roles may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Tuberculosis.
