Dedicated to delivering comprehensive, culturally aware health services in the community and emphasizes the importance of coordinated care. We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic, committed, and Speech Pathologist eager to become part of our diverse team in Melbourne. The perfect applicant will be adept at delivering Speech Pathology services to individuals, groups, and families across all age groups within the community, while also striving to enhance and deliver superior care that elevates their quality of life. The organization will support and direct you to carry out duties which it considers are within your level of skill, competence, training and scope of practice.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The position is responsible for multi-disciplinary Allied Health services in the delivery of culturally appropriate Speech Pathology to the Melbourne community, including pediatric, adolescent and Adult caseload assessment and treatment for:
- Dysphasia screening and rehabilitation
- Problems expressing ideas, thinking of words, using inappropriate words, forming sentences.
- Underlying problems with reading and writing.
- Difficulty producing sounds and speaking clearly.
- Voice Disorders
- Stuttering problems with flow of speech.
- Delayed or disordered language development.
- Specific language impairment.
- Social use of language and communication, behaviour design and use of communication Aids.
- Assessment and management of swallowing problems
- Provide education to Clients and Families.
ABOUT YOU
- An interest in working with children on the Spectrum.
- Full Speech Pathology Australia registration required
- Computer literacy
- Drivers license
- High level of organisational skills and professional manner
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology
- Current national police check & First Aid Certificate &WWC
- Passion for helping people of all ages and ethnicity, including people with disabilities
- Capability to work with all stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for your client
- The desire to be challenged and further progress your career
- Demonstrated experience working autonomously within your role
