 Pilot Welfare Liaison Manager – Counsellor/ Trained Peer Supporter or Mentor

  • Full time position with part time considered
  • 4 days in the office, 1 day WFH
  • 135k – 160k salary range based on experience  

 

ACM Healthcare is working on behalf of an Organisation playing a pivotal role in facilitating the well-being and holistic support of Australian and International Pilot Association members. We are on the lookout for either a trained Counsellor, Psychologist, Retired Pilot or a Peer supporter / Mentor in an industrial setting.

Although this role has a strong aviation component, applications are encouraged from those who may have experience in wellbeing programs, occupational or educational psychology and industries that may mirror aviation related lifestyle and professional standards. Applicants who may be able to bring new insights and skills to the role will be highly regarded.

 

Job Description or Duties:

  • Contribute to AIPA’s strategic planning vision for pilot members well-being.
  • Recruit, train and manage a team of Welfare Liaison Officers.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and support to ensure the team’s effectiveness and well-being.
  • Serve as an advocate for members facing personal or professional challenges.
  • Actively listen and empathise with members to understand their concerns and needs.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address and resolve member issues.
  • Identify and connect members with professional welfare resources within the community and within the Qantas Group
  • Respond promptly and effectively to crises affecting the well-being of members.
  • Collaborate with crisis teams, providing support and guidance to members in distress.
  • Implement preventative measures to mitigate potential crises and enhance overall welfare.
  • Develop and deliver educational presentations and programs on personal and professional well-being, mental health and resilience.
  • Conduct presentations to equip new members with the skills to navigate challenges effectively.
