Solution Architect

  • Initial Contract Duration: 12 months
  • Extension Term: x2 12-month extensions
  • Location of Work: On-site in ACT
  • Security Clearance: Must be an Australian citizen

Requirements:

We are seeking a Solution Architect to join our client in the Federal Government. Given the work revolves around information and statistics and the presentation of statistics to promote better health and wellbeing, our projects have a significant dependency on data and ICT.

Your main responsibility will be to provide the necessary leadership, analysis, and designs to support the development of technology solutions ensuring they meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards.

 

Scope of Activities & Skills and Competencies:

Interpret Business Needs: Translate requirements into architectural blueprints and document solution designs.

Assess Technology: Identify deficiencies and propose improvements; consult with IT functions to adjust designs.

Apply Technology: Lead design and analysis of solutions architecture; support application architects to ensure alignment.

Provide Enterprise Guidance: Ensure solutions architecture assurance and compliance.

Technical Knowledge: Network infrastructure, security, cloud/hybrid/on-premises infrastructure, database design, and software development.

Methodologies: Familiarity with SDLC, ITSM, and ITIL.

Analytical and Planning Skills: Proven ability to analyse, plan, and organize.

Communication: Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical executives, provide reporting, and negotiate practical solution designs.

Characteristics: Collaborative, technology-neutral, and driven by long-term outcomes.
