Psychologist / Clinical Psychologist |Luxury Rehab Facility Role | Samford Valley

ACM Healthcare is working on behalf of a Luxury private rehab facility based in Samford Valley QLD. We are looking for several Psychologists or Clinical Psychologists to work across a varied case load as a permanent clinician.

 

Job Description:

  • Undertake individual, group and community interventions, e.g. cognitive behaviour therapy, behaviour therapy, psychotherapy, family therapy, systems interventions and counselling, along with other appropriate evidence based therapeutic interventions.
  • Responsible for clinical counselling services for patients, clients, and guests within a multidisciplinary team context.
  • Work as an effective member of the team, with the primary responsibility of providing psychological counselling services to clients and delivering suitable programs of treatment.
  • Coordinating patient, client and guest support and associated wellness programs, including case management and family support.
  • Providing clinical intake consultations for patients, clients, and guests requiring admission to the residential, telehealth, day program, and other treatment offerings.
  • Committed to maintaining the ethical standards of the Australian Psychological Society. Attends, with diligence to the registration requirements of AHPRA, including being responsible for their professional insurances, professional supervision, and professional development.
  • The wide ranging duties of this position requires the person to be flexible; well organised; good at setting boundaries for themselves and others; willing to strive for excellence and passionate about helping people with health and wellness needs including recovery from dependency, addiction, mental health conditions and eating disorders.
  • Conduct assessments and implement psychological therapy
  • Maintain a good understanding of current approaches to clinical counselling, dependency and recovery from addictions, mental health and eating disorders.

 

Essential criteria:

  • Available either part time or full time with 2, 3, 4 or 5 days per week
  • Fully registered with the Australian Psychology Board + AHPRA        
  • Professional indemnity and public liability insurance
  • A valid driver licence (C class - car)
