SPEECH PATHOLOGIST COMMUNITY ROLE (Melbourne, VIC)

 

  • Location: Melbourne, CBD (Flexible caseload all regions of Melbourne)
  • Salary: $70,000 to $105,000 + Superannuation + Travel Allowances/ Tools of Trade

We are searching for a passionate, dedicated and organized Speech Pathologist to join their multi-disciplinary team in Melbourne. The Ideal Candidate will be comfortable in providing Speech Pathology services to families, group, and individuals of all ages in the community as well as empower and provide the highest quality of care to improve quality of life. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provision of a high-quality Speech Pathology service to individuals and their support networks for service under Aged Care (Home Care Package) model, NDIS, Individual and/or group-based programs, education, and support services
  • Completion and accurate collection of appropriate data and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including assessment reports, progress notes, and outcome measurements.
  • Work closely with Support Coordinators, LAC/NDIA Planners or Care Managers etc to identify and appropriately manage participant needs.
  • Collaborate with participants, families, and support coordinators to set meaningful goals that align with their individual aspirations and care plans.
  • Stay updated on the latest research, best practices, and advancements in occupational therapy through ongoing professional development activities.

ABOUT YOU

  • 2 years of more of clinical experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in conducting assessments, developing care plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions for both NDIS and aged care clients.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate with participants, families, aged care providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • your own car is desired but not essential to work with our clients in the community.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, in a dynamic and client-cantered environment.
  • You will have your SPA registration, NDIS clearance and WWC ready to start work.
