AWARD LEVEL: Varied, dependent on experience
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Position of Maintenance Plumber/ Modifications Tradesperson is to provide the day-to-
day plumbing maintenance services and home modifications for our clients. This includes
and completing minor/major plumbing works, repairs, installation, inspections, operation and
repair of plumbing equipment as well as completing modifications to people homes in the
form of the fabrication and installation of grabrails, hand rails and other mobility aids. All
work must be completed in a timely, reliable and efficient manner exercised through
3Bridges core values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Responsibilities • Carry out repairs to all services related to the plumbing
trade water supply, natural gas, sewer and stormwater.
• Installation, maintenance and setting of thermostatic mixing
valves (TMV) equipment on site as required.
• All work carried out by the Plumber is to be of a high
standard, acceptable to the Leading Hand Plumber/
Manager.
• Maintain workshop and workplaces in a clean and tidy
manner.
• Participate in developing Risk Assessments, Safe Work
Method Statements and complying with Safety Data Sheets
• Quote work requests as directed by the HMM Leading
Hand
• Consult with referral agencies installation of modifications
where necessary, or as directed by the HMM Leading Hand
• Carry out the following modification and maintenance
work:
o minor roofing, gutter, and downpipe
replacement/repair work,
o fabrication and installation of external handrails,
o installation of internal grab rails,
o be involved with the construction of timber/concrete
ramps,
o step modifications,
o minor carpentry work,
o minor tiling work,
o minor and major bathroom modifications.
• Assist with procurement and inventory management.
• Maintain a daily logbook for company vehicle.
• Ensure company vehicle is appropriately maintained,
cleaned, housed, and used as per the Motor Vehicle policy.

• Assist with establishing practices that promote organisation
culture and vision, recognising organisational diversity and
opportunities to innovate.
Administration • Keep daily electronic records of work performed, the cost of
each job and the clients serviced.
• Write up quotations/estimates in consultation with the
HMM Leading Hand
• Pass on completed job costs promptly to the Service
Administrator for invoicing.
• Verify invoices of materials and equipment purchased.
• Keep accurate records of daily working hours, absences and
fill in time sheet.
• Attend to office duties as required (taking phone messages,
job referrals etc.)

• Perform all other reasonable additional duties as requested
by management.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE:
Experience
• Trade qualified for 5+ years.
• Technology and Computer literate. Familiarity with
paperless booking and work systems will be an advantage
• Have an eye for detail and the organisational skills to
provide top quality workmanship for customers;
• Demonstrated success and experience within residential
and commercial maintenance work
Qualifications
• Current NSW driver’s license
• Completion of Plumbing Trade course and hold a Current
Plumber's License
• Valid NSW working with Children Check clearance.
• Valid Criminal history check (completed by 3BC)

• NSW Construction Induction White Card
Skills and Knowledge
• Demonstrated experience in the management of hydraulic
and drainage systems including fault finding, repairs and
installation.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience servicing and
repairing Back Flow Prevention devices (RPZ) and or
• Completed an accredited Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV)
course and be experienced in TMV maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a collaborative
team with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and understand Hydraulic plans Safe Work
Method Statements and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety
principles related to maintenance services.
