 Land & Property Officer – Council position

 

 

ACM Healthcare is working on behalf of a Local Government Council to source an experienced Land and Property officer. The role consists of overseeing and participating in the management of Council’s commercial, residential, cultural, and recreational property portfolio to ensure that the return on properties is maximised, that occupation agreements are prepared appropriately.

 

 

Job Description:

  • Oversee the performance of the external property management organisation based on agreed key performance indicators
  • Manage and maintain Council's property management systems including property register, and lease and license registers
  • Manage the preparation of leases/licenses for activities/operations
  • Participate in the management of Council properties, including the leasing and licensing of community facilities, recreational facilities, footway occupation agreements and facility hire.
  • In conjunction with other Council sections, plan for long-term land and building acquisitions and the disposal of surplus land and properties and implement strategies to achieve.
  • Participate in the preparation, lodgement and registration of land acquisition, land transfers, land searches, land sales and all land dealings.

Essential criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated property management equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in property management or leasing or a related field including preparation and management of leases and licenses.
  • Ability to interpret and implement legislation and government policies
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and productively within an organisation and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Holder of a Class C driver’s licence.
