Our client has a position available for an Occupational Therapist to join their team who is passionate about working with a variety of clients. The current caseload includes assessment and recommendation for everyday equipment recommendation, complex equipment prescription, minor and major home modification and application through funding. 

About the role

• Providing initial assessment and ongoing treatment to elderly clients and clients with disabilities
• Producing thorough and accurate documentation and completing funding application reports (if required)
• Liaising with service providers and within the team to ensure effective communication
• Traveling to client's home for initial OT assessments and ongoing interventions, including equipment trial and home modification review 
• Part-time or full-time (3 days - 5 days per week) or contractor work

Skills 

• Minimum 2 years working experience after graduation, either in a public hospital, rehab hospital, or community setting
• Understand the complex needs of elderly clients and clients with a physical disability
• Experience working in the community to provide home-based OT service is desirable
• Knowledge of aged care and NDIS is desirable, and further training can be provided at work
• Current AHPRA Registration, police check, and Australian driver's license
